Personality:
Matty is a very social creature. He's always up for meeting new people, going to new places, going to parties, clubs, whatever. He's very loyal; his friends mean the world to him, and he would honestly do anything for them. He's pretty good at keeping secrets - for the most part, anyway. However, Matty is the type of person that likes to gossip, so he isn't the type of person you should tell small secrets, like who you have a crush on, for example. He doesn't keep those kind of secrets. However, if it's a big secret, Matty will listen carefully and not spill a word to anyone else. So obviously, his friends are very careful about the things they tell him.

Matty is very openly homosexual. However, he isn't your stereotypical gay guy that's very feminine, and is always hanging out with women. Matty is quite masculine, and frankly, if he wasn't so open about his sexuality, most probably wouldn't even think he was gay. He pretty much just tries to be one of the guys. When it comes down to it, Matty is a very sweet lover. He goes out of his way to please whoever he happens to be dating at the time. Unfortunately though, he hasn't found anyone that can hold his attention for very long, so he often as multiple, short relationships.

Overall, Matty is a pretty nice guy. He's polite. He's friendly. Honestly, he tries not to get mean too much. Only when he feels like he has to be. For example, Matty has a twin brother, who he is over protective of. If someone were to give his brother a hard time, or talk badly about him, Matty would get awful pissy, awful quick. He gets the same way about close friends and family. Anyone that has known Matty for any period of time can attest to his terrible temper. He's very easy to set off. He isn't just one of those people that just gets a little mad and then gets over it either. When Matty gets angry, he yells, curses, throws things across rooms, hits walls, picks fist fights, all that, and more. His temper is really something he tries to work on, but really, it's kind of pointless. No matter what he does, when he gets angry, he always ends up going off.

Matty is a werewolf. And his lovely temper is just one of the perks of being a werewolf. This is obviously something he keeps quiet. Only family knows where he disappears to every month during the full moon. He truly fears close friends finding out about his "condition." After all, who would feel safe being friends with a werewolf? His "condition" is probably the only thing Matty keeps quiet about. Other than that, he's a very open book.

- Matty has an incredible memory. He's one of those people that can look at things like a phone number, and always remember them.
- Due to the fact that Matty is a werewolf, he is very agile. He can pretty much do any physical activity that comes to mind for as long as he wants, without getting tired.
- He usually forgives loved ones very easily.
- Extremely loyal.
- Intelligent.

Weaknesses:
- Stubbornness. Matty is literally stubborn to the point where he will make a complete fool of himself just because he likes things done his way.
- His temper.
- Matty is very clumsy.
- Very self-conscious about his weight.
- He has a very big mouth that often gets him into some sticky situations.

History:
To be frank, Matty and his twin brother, Evan, were an accident. Matty's parents had started dating during high school, when Stacey was fifteen, and then boom, at sixteen, she very quickly found out she was pregnant. With twins. This little bit of news didn't go over well with Stacey's parents; luckily for the couple, Jakob's parents were a lot more supportive and willing to help them with anything they might need.

Purely to get some peace from Stacey's family, Jakob and Stacey got married on March 17.

Despite the many things Stacey tried to do to keep her parents happy, they fought constantly, they put tons and tons of stress upon the teenage mother, and one day, when she had finally had enough, she packed all of her things and moved in with Jakob and her mother-in-law. (Jakob's father had been out of the picture for years at this point.) This took a lot of stress off of Stacey's shoulders. Not only was she free of the constant criticism of her parents, she didn't have to worry about anything else either. The Way's were a very rich family, and they more than happily provided the things that Stacey and her babies needed. As Stacey's stomach grew, Jakob's impatience to meet his sons also grew. For the most part, the two were a very healthy and happy couple.

However, this short relief of stress didn't last very long. One day Stacey's mother-in-law and Jakob sat her down to have a "discussion" with her. The father of her children proceeded to tell her that he had been born a werewolf, and it was more than likely that his sons would be born with the same curse. Despite such shocking news, Stacey took it very well, and felt no differently about her husband and her unborn sons.

On October 31, in Hoboken, New Jersey, Stacey gave birth to two healthy boys. Matty was the youngest, born ten minutes after his older brother. A few days afterward, the couple and their baby boys returned to their mother-in-laws home. The little family settled into their new life very quickly. Much to their surprise, that Christmas the family received a very extravagant gift from Sophia: the deed to the Way's summer home in rural Maine.

Jakob didn't waste much time finding a job close to their new home, and then packing their things, and moving himself, and his wife and kids to their new home. The family quickly settled into their new life in Virgina. They were happy and healthy and everything seemed perfect. Until Jakob just disappeared one day, very similar to the fashion in which his own father had disappeared. One day Stacey woke up, and Jakob wasn't in bed next to her, or anywhere else in the house. It didn't take her long to figure out that his things and one of their vehicles was gone. Upon realizing that her husband was gone, without a trace, Stacey was heartbroken. So much so that Jakob's mother came to stay with her for a while. After a brief spell of some pretty intense depression, Stacey snapped out of it. She had two babies to take care of. She couldn't just sit around feeling sorry for herself. She had made up her mind to be the best mother that she possibly could. She focused all of her energy on doing this, and succeeded.

The twins grew up a very happy pair. Matty absolutely adored his mother and his older brother. He was a very bubbly and happy child for the most part. However, there would be moments where that awful temper would just explode out of this little boy. It was often very frightening for his mother to witness. However, Stacey's mother-in-law assured her that this was to be expected. Jakob had been the exact same way.

Matty's temper had caused no real damage until he was about thirteen. Matty had been bullied a lot during school, and one particular day, he had decided he was sick of it, and he was no longer going to put up with it. He had been walking home from school, minding his own business, when an older kid came up to him and started picking on him. After a string of curse words and threats, Matty threw the first punch and then the two went at it. Matty, being a werewolf, had a very obvious advantage over this older boy. He was stronger, and he knew it. He had this boy pinned to the ground and didn't stop throwing punches until the other boy was limp.

The boy was hospitalized and in critical condition and died sometime that night.

And in all honesty, that fight has affected Matty until this day. That evening, Stacey, Matty, and his brother skipped town. Less than a week later, they were living in a small house in rural Virginia. And that's when the real fun started. Before that incident, Matty hadn't ever changed during the full moon, but now, every month, Matty takes the form of a werewolf. Because of this, Matty tends to shy away from getting involved with someone romantically for too long. And when he does, it's never for longer than a couple months.
