FAMILY SPELLS
Name: Partial Immortality
Level: Ancient
Ingredients: Amaranth and Vervain for burning, Either blood of a violent death, or water from a drowned man's lungs.
Effect: With the application of this spell, the user to rendered immune to the effects of age for a years time, exactly. Failure to recast the ritual after the year has expired causes all the time that has been put off by the spells magic to return to the caster within a number of days, typically the same number as the years that have been put off.
Example: Say a Witch uses the spell for 31 years, and has put off 31 years of her age. Should she fail to recast the spell for whatever reason. She ages a year every day for one month, till all the time has put back on.
The spell MUST be cast on Samhain (All Hallows Eve, Halloween), due to the fact the spell uses power drawn from spirits of those who have passed on. Samhain is a time where the world touches the Beyond, and is the only time so much power could be siphoned from the souls of the dead.
