Vibrations rippling through a dead body. The revving of a powerful engine. Flying at 80 mph on a road that was completely empty. Arabella was in her zone. The adrenaline rush that came from driving such a beautiful blood red sports car was damn near impossible to beat. She cooled off, cleared her head this way. Something about the adrenaline, the speed, the danger involved could practically put a beat back into her long dead heart. It was a fantastic feeling. She road up the side of the mountain, trees whipping by her tinted windows. Father into the forest she went, until she could make out the outline of her mansion against the green background. Mama was home.
She wasn't completely sure if William was at home or not. He wasn't in Mystic Falls because that's where she just came from, so he was either inside, or running around in the trees somewhere. Releasing one hand from the steering wheel, she reached up to the roof and pressed the garage door button. The blond approached her entrance and started to slow down. She wasn't going to risk the damage to her baby or to her house. She would never hear the end of it from her husband if she did.
Putting her beloved Ferrari into park, she opened the door and her Alexander McQueen ankle boots clanked on the pavement. Her door closed. The garage door closed. The house door opened. She entered. Then it closed too. Ari put her keys on the hook, and started walking through the house. She sniffed the air. Will had been there recently, but he wasn't in the house, which meant he was in the yard somewhere. She walked through the den, and hung out of one of the large, wide-open windows. Her emerald eyes did a scan of the area, no sign of him. Her glossed lips puckered and she whistled the first few bars of the Daniel Bedingfield song “If You're Not the One”. If he was within his hearing distance, he'd know she was home.

The taste of the salty blood filled up his mouth as he drained the last vestiges of blood from the deer's neck. Dropping the animal to the ground he looked around. His soulless black eyes scanned the surrounding area, and he sniffed the air. There were no more dear around for the time being, and he was done hunting for the day anyways. Dragging his kill down the river he cleaned it, and then he left it by the river for the wolves to feed on. He loved his wolves they were the closest thing to family that he had ever had. His real family was long gone they had died a few hundred years ago. Now all he had was her. She was his whole world now, and without her he had no purpose. Sitting by a tree he stared up at the sky. He was unique. In the entire world he was the only one of his kind. It made him feel lonely sometimes.
He was the first, and the last of his kind. A sigh passed over his lips, and he slowly shifted out of his hybrid form. His bluish skin disappeared leaving his tanned skin shining against the sun. His dirty blonde hair lightened, and his black eyes shifted back to their usual blue color. Claws disappeared back into hands, and his finger nails retracted back to their normal length. Fangs disappeared back into his canines, and he stared up at the sun once again sighing. Being the last of something meant that he would have no legacy, and once he died there would be no other hybrids. There were many vampires, werewolves, and even witches. However he was the only hybrid, and that slightly depressed him.
Without Arabella knowing he had been trying to successfully repeat the process that had created him, but to no avail. As no human subject had been able to cope with the change. They had all become unstable, and died. It was usually a messy process, but it was necessary. He needed to know how to create more hybrids. But since he was unconscious, and half dead during his own transformation. He hadn't asked Arabella how he had become this way because he didn't want to make her remember it, but he knew that she was the only one who could tell him. That was when he heard it.
It was his favorite song of this day, and age, and a smile crossed his lips as he stood up, and sprinted towards their mansion. Being a hybrid had its advantages. He was much faster than either a werewolf, or a vampire, and he could cover the few miles with ease. Soon he slowed down, and he was at the front door of their luxurious mansion, and he stepped inside staring at his wife. He probably looked like a mess. Deer blood covered his bare chest in smears, and his hair was messy. He looked more like a wild animal than a man, but he smiled at her. "Hello gorgeous." he said his french accent thick in his words.

Arabella's porcelain colored palms left the window sill, as she straightened her spine to stand full upright. She turned her back to the window, and took a few slow steps back into the den. Her long fingers slowly unbuckled the belt-like attachment, and then unzips her leather jacket exposing her top beneath. Her lapis lazuli heart pendant sat against her bare chest protecting her from the stray sun rays that beamed in through the open windows. Emerald eyes looked down at the nearest end table, and she rummaged through a few of the magazines that lay there.
There was a rustling through the trees outside. Ari turned her head, and her hair flipped over her other shoulder. A smile appeared on her face. Will was home. She caught his scent and was intoxicated, but then she caught something else. Blood. It wasn't his blood, it wasn't even human. It was.... deer. She felt the veins under her eyes pulsate and fill. A deep shade of gray hazed over her vision as her green eyes darkened to charcoal. Her lips were pricked as her fangs elongated as if she were about to feed. It was a natural reaction to the smell of blood. It smelled so good.
She caught sight of her absolutely heartbreaking husband, and smirked. Why was he always covered in blood? Slowly she approached him, her hips swaying hypnotically. She was stalking her prey. “Don't you smell appetizing?”
[/b] She placed her hands against his warm skin, and gripped his shoulders. Then the blond used her tongue to lick off all of the blood that was on his chest. When she got up around his neck, her fangs scraped his skin. “Good to see you.” she brought her lips to his, and kissed him hard. The moment she saw him the veins in her face appeared, and her eyes darkened to charcoal black, and she came over, and licked up all the blood from his body. He shivered in delight at the touch of her lips against his body, and then she kissed him hard. Wrapping his arms around her he kissed her back just as roughly, and then pulled away. Still holding her he placed his forehead against hers. Smirking he stared into her eyes deeply. "Easy there love. We don't need to destroy the den again. The contractors will start asking questions. Last time we had to compel them to forget about the claw marks on the walls." he said smirking still, and he pulled away from her embrace.
He wanted to tell her about his secret experiments, but he didn't think that she would be so understanding. Especially since he was keeping secrets from her, and that wouldn't go over well. She would probably keep bringing it up for the next few hundred years. The only bad thing about marrying a vampire was that they could hold a grudge for a long time because they were immortal. A sigh escaped his lips as he thought about his actions, and he wanted to know the exact things that happened to cause him to be like this so he could replicate it. Maybe she would tell him how it happened if he asked her. They had never talked about that night before, and he didn't know if she would answer him.
"Ari...I have a question." he said and allowed the silence to fill up the room for a few seconds before speaking again. "I have always wondered. How did I become like this? I remember the vampire attacking me, and then I passed out. Then I woke up, and I was different..." he said staring into her eyes with his own. "Neither wolf, or vampire, but something in the middle. What made me like this?" he said in a low serious tone.

Ari felt the shiver run through his body, and she felt his lips press harder back against hers, and she knew that she was getting riled up. That always seemed to happen when he was around. After four centuries together they still couldn't keep their hands off each other, and it didn't seem to be slowing down any time soon. That was when he pulled away from her, and stopped her in her tracks. He told her that they didn't need to destroy the den again, and Arabella just started pouting. “But love, that's when we do the remodeling ourselves.”
Her hands started to roam up his tattered shirt forgetting the rest of the world. Faster than a Lambo hitting a brick wall, the tension in the room rose to incredible heights. His body language changed, and she stopped dead in her tracks. Her hands dropped from his skin, and she took one step back from him. Her eyes turned to her normal green color, and they began to search him for the cause of the change in attitude. He began to talk about himself, but it wasn't in the conceited way she was so used to, and that she loved so much. He was asking questions about his being.
Her arms immediately began to cross over her chest. She could smell the leather scent coming from her sleeves, and her eyebrows knit together. “Why are you asking me this?” The topic of his change had never come up between them before. It was a conversation that she had been skillfully avoiding for the past few centuries, never really wanting to get into the topic. “If it's all the same to you then I would prefer not bringing this up.” Her heels clicked against the oak wood floors, and she began to walk right past him into the rest of the house, her fingers running through her blond hair.

He smirked at her reply, telling him that they could do the remodeling themselves. While it was true, and he would have no problem doing it because at the most it would only take them a few hours to fix it with their combined abilities. While he wanted nothing more than to throw her against the wall, and do some very unethical things to her, she once again avoided is question. Like she had been doing for the past few centuries, and he was going to let her get away from it that easily. He wanted to know, and he was going to know now. And he had no moral compass so to speak so he was willing to stoop to such lows that no normal person would dare stoop to. Part of being able to shut off his emotions.
She walked past him, and he used his enhanced speed to pop up right in front of her. "Ari my dearest. All I am asking for is this one thing, and if you tell me we can spend the next hundred years doing whatever you want. Even if we spend it just locked in our bedroom." he said with a huge smile on his face as he cupped her face in his hands, and he leaned forward, and barely brushed his lips against hers. It was more of a ploy to tease her to tell him what he wanted then she could have the rest afterwards. He would get this information out of her one way, or the other. Still holding her face in between his hands
"Ari if you love me, please tell me this, and then we can go finish our fun." he said with a huge grin on his face, as he leaned in and gave her a quick peck on the cheek. "For me love?" he said to her smiling his most charming smile. He would probably have to seduce her first before she would tell him, but that was a risk he was willing to take.

Her fingers shook her blond locks loose and they just waved around her face in a golden halo. No, she wasn't going to tell him. She wasn't going to even think about it. It was her first memory of him, and it was the only memory of him that she blocked out completely. There was a slight breeze, and her hair was ruffled. She stopped dead as if one more step would send her over a cliff, and rolled her eyes. Will was currently standing directly in front of her, and she crossed her arms at the sight of him. She watched him as the look of irritation and determination disappeared from his face, and was replaced with a softer more loving look.
He cupped her cheeks in his hands, and was practically begging with his eyes. His voice was sweeter than honey, but it was all a plot to soften her, and lull her into his web. Spending three hundred years with someone allows you to learn their tricks. Not that it didn't work still. His next step was to tempt her with their bedroom time. The smile on his face was glacier-melting, and it was one of the things that she fell in love with him for. Then he gave her one of his teasing kisses, and she just wanted to slap him. They both knew that if he continued on this path she was putty in his hands. How Arabella despised when he did this to her. It was almost as bad as compulsion.
Then he pulled the “if you love me” card. That card was total BS. “Now you know I love you. You can't pull something like that.” She took a step back to get his grip off of her face. Then she felt the still air of the inside of her house fly past her as she sped through the rooms. She ran through the den and the entrance hall, then up the stairs to their master bedroom. She hoped and prayed that he wasn't going to follow her, but she knew for a fact that he would be only a second or two behind her.

The moment she took a step back he smiled even more charmingly, and she said he couldn't play the "I love you card", and then she took off. She had a headstart on him which wasn't fair, but it didn't matter because he knew where she was going. With a giant smirk on his face he flew through their house up to their bedroom, and looked at her. Drinking in her beauty made him shiver in delight that she was all his. All his, and only his. He would get that information out of her, and he was evil enough to stoop to any low to get it. That was the reason she loved him, because he was so evil, and they got along fantastically for it. Using his super speed, and strength he rushed over, and grabbed her by the waist, and pulled her body to his.
Without wasting another second he crashed his lips into hers, and began to kiss her roughly, and passionately. Throwing her hard onto the bed he was surprised it hadn't broken from the force of his throw, and he was on top of her kissing her again. Hungrily, and lustfully his hands, and arms were wrapped around her making sure she couldn't escape him, and he kissed down to her neck, and bit her. careful enough not to pierce her skin so he wouldn't poison her with his bite, but hard enough so that she would feel it, and then he kissed back up to her lips, and down to her throat again teasing her even more by nibbling on her neck. "Baby you taste so good.." he let his voice trail seductively as he kissed back up to her lips

She moved over to her closet knowing that the sight and smell of her Alexander McQueen would relax her. It was a talent Will had. He could change her mood, and the mood of the room in less than a minute. She never could figure out how he did it, and sometimes she really disliked that talent of his. Then she rolled her eyes. No she couldn't see him, but she did feel the disturbance in the force. Slowly she got up, and turned around with her hands on her hips, in a very defiant way. He just stood there, staring at her with the smirk she knew so well placed on his face.
She blinked, and he was right in front of him. Any normal person would have jumped clean out of their own skins, but Arabella was so used to it by now. She felt his strong arms wrap around her waist, and they tugged her to him. She felt the pressure of his chiseled body pressing against her own torso. Then her own attention was stolen from her, as his perfectly smooth lips found hers. Neither pair stronger than the other. No one person molding around the partner. They were both strong, and held their own. His grip tightened to the point of almost pain, and then her heels no longer touched the floor.
Her body bent, and then was airborne. She smirked as he got further away from her, and then she bounced on the over stuffed mattress of their king sized bed. Her hair was splayed across one of the numerous pillows that rested at the head of the bed. In a moment, he was back on top of her, his arms forming a prison that she couldn't escape, not that she wanted to. She felt a shiver run through her body every time he bit at her throat. When he got back to her lips, she bit his bottom one. Using her legs, she flipped him over so she was sitting on his waist.
Fade to black.....
