Arabella sat there on one of the fainting couches in the fainting room of their mansion. William and Arabella had built the house when they came over to the colonies in the 1650s. Of course, they had made a few adjustments since then like indoor plumbing, electricity, and of course the use of appliances. Switching over to cars was easy enough as they just use the storage for the wagons, and then connected it to the house. Other than that, it was built resembling a colonial museum, and a museum is what it was starting to feel like. She looked around and realized that she needed to get out more. She never saw William around anymore. He was always doing something these days. She shook her blond curls out of her face, and made up her mind that she was going to do something too.
Arabella flitted through the house to get to the door of the garage. She grabbed her keys off the hook, and jumped in her beautiful Ferrari. The key went into the ignition, and it was turned a quarter of an inch. Then she heard the engine roar to life. In a second, she jetted out of the garage, and then down her drive way. As she raced around the curves and bends in the road going through the tree and around hills, the sun peaked in through the leaves and into the car. As the light rays passed over her, they struck the Harry Winston engagement ring on her finger. The sparkle lit up the roof of her car like a disco ball, and she smiled.
The more she drove the closer she came to Mystic Falls. Eventually, she was parking her blood red Ferrari in a parking spot at the Founder's Hall. No one was there, but she really didn't expect anyone to be there. She closed the door to her car, and she pushed her sunglasses on to her face. Once she entered the Hall, she made her way to one of the rooms. On the wall was a list of founding families, the Lanier's being one of them, and the Carlyle's being another. That was because William, Arabella, and the survivors of Arabella's family were there to found Mystic Falls when it began. They were a good portion of the founding town members as it were actually. She sat in the high backed hair behind the oak desk, and pulled out a timeline of Mystic Falls history and laid it next to the calender.
