As Di is one for practicality and having a flat over the Mystic Grill is one thing that suits her just fine. It's got one bedroom, a rather nice bathroom, small kitchen area and a nicely sized living area and Di makes sure to keep it immaculate and spotless, having a slight obsessive complusive tendency towards cleanliness from her mother's and grandmother's harping as a child. The only way into Diana's flat is through a locked door from the back of the Grill's kitchen and up a flight of stairs to a second locked door. The second locked door opens into Diana's living room which is carpeted in a soft cream color of carpet and light tan wall paint that matches the same scheme in the bedroom. The bathroom, with spotlessly clean black and white tile and a frosted glass stand-up shower and a large, old-fashioned bathtub, is a little more luxorious due to the additions of large fluffy white towels that Diana added to it everywhere and the Shea Cashmere Bath and Body Works products she uses. The kitchen is fairly small, essentially a nook with a small electric stove and microwave, sink, and minature fridge. The reason for the small kitchen is that Seniade can really get her chef on after hours in the Mystic Grill's kitchen.

The Lanier mansion was built in the early 1800s in the middle of thick forest on the outskirts of the new town of Mystic Falls. Its a gray stone structure built in a Victorian Era style. A large archway covers the oak front doors. There are many torrents topped to a rounded point and large stone columns. The many windows are large, as well are the balconies. The interior of the two story mansion is decked out in dark, stained cherry wood complete with wooden grand staircase and wooden mantled fireplace. Keeping some of it's original lighting techniques, there are many candle-lit chandeliers and candle torches lighting hallways and large rooms as well as new lighting with dimming features. It really brings together the old world feel from when Arabella and William were human as well as the new adaptation of changing times.
